Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our primary work is weddings, engagements and family sessions. Weddings typically take up our weekends, and engagement sessions and families are usually on weekdays. We love capturing all the natural and even subtle interactions couples and families have with each other, whether it’s the hand lightly on the back, the toddler reaching up to be held, the quick kiss on the side of the head, we love it all!

  • Reach out through our contact form first! You can click HERE to get to that page. I do my best to respond to emails within 24 hours and we’ll walk you through the next steps after that!

  • Doing this for over 12 years has given me a lot of experience and what I think is a big understanding of how to make couples and families comfortable during a session or wedding. I like to combine a lot of fun prompts and actual things you can do or talk about like walking, reminiscing about a past date, practicing a first dance, etc. to give you something to do other than just stand there and smile. I also love to incorporate activities in a portion of sessions when it works out - going to get ice cream , grabbing a drink, having a picnic, etc. Creating ways that natural interactions are occurring can make for the best way to capture some authentic moments and not have to force or overly direct it all. Weddings are already full of those, but during the posing portion we can find ways to make that happen as well!

  • In the last few years we’ve been pretty 50/50 with suburbs and downtown Chicago! Our most frequently visited places in the Chicago area are : Wheaton, Warrenville, Naperville, Lisle, Downers Grove, Geneva, St. Charles, Aurora, Oak Brook, Sycamore, Elgin, Oak Park, and more! We do travel a couple times a year as well. We have family near Kalamazoo, Michigan and in Austin, TX so both those places have little to no travel fees because we love a chance to visit family!

  • I take on a limited number of weddings and sessions each year so I can truly invest in my couples and families! I try my best to bring a joyful and friendly energy to every wedding and session I shoot. It happens genuinely because I love my job!! The adrenaline on a wedding day can’t be matched and when I’m chasing a sunset, are you kidding me?? I’m thriving!!
